Our Charities
We are official sponsors of The Karen Hill Tribes Trust, an inspiring organisation working to bring education and clean water supplies to the Karen people, one of the poorest communities in Asia.
In 2014 we raised over £20,000 and built a school dormitory for the Seree Wittaya school on the Thai/Burmese border. This dormitory means 40 children whose homes are too remote to attend school, can now complete their education.
The Group Company continues to sponsor this charity going forward, providing scholarships to 13 students each year to finance their degree studies at Chiang Mai University.
In 2017, we worked hard to raise enough sponsorship to send members of our staff to Thailand to assist with efforts to lay water pipes. Fundraising efforts have included marathons, charity boat cruises, bake sales, car boot sales, sponsored adventurous hair styles, pop-up market stalls and a grand Halloween Ball.
In 2019, we began donating to the Calcutta Rescue Fund, which provides free medical care, education and skills training for 17,000 underprivileged people a year in Calcutta, India.
All funds raised by our team are match funded by The Group Company, doubling the amount we are able to contribute.
We also support the Family Holiday Association, as an additional incentive bonus for meeting our ambitious targets. We want to spread our love of travel as far as possible, and so we have chosen to support the Family Holiday Association's fantastic work in providing breaks and holidays to families who struggle with issues such as disability, severe and sudden illness, mental health issues, bereavement and domestic violence.
